The Challenge

The hall’s old setup wasn’t built for the range of things now happening in it. Sound needed to reach every seat clearly, whether that was a principal speaking at assembly or a full stage production. Presenters needed a simple way to get their laptop or device up on screen without wrestling with cables. And with the hall doubling as a space for sport and PE, any equipment mounted in the room needed to survive the occasional disco. On top of all that, whoever was running the hall on the day, teacher, or visiting parent, needed to be able to operate it with confidence, not a manual.

Our Solution

We designed a complete hall system built around ease of use, covering projection, sound, control, and wireless presentation in one integrated package.

  • Projection and screen – A high-brightness laser projector was installed to handle the hall’s size and light levels, mounted safely out of harm’s way in a protective cage suited to a multi-use space. A motorised screen drops down at the touch of a button when it’s needed and tucks away when it’s not.
  • Sound – A digital signal processor tunes the audio specifically for the hall’s acoustics, driving a mix of new speakers alongside the hall’s existing setup for even coverage from the stage right to the back wall. Wireless handheld microphones give presenters and performers the freedom to move, with additional wired stage microphone options for productions and assemblies where several people need to be picked up at once.
  • Control – Everything is run from a single touch panel: projector on/off, screen up/down, microphones live, volume, and Bluetooth, all in plain language, no technical know-how required.
  • Wireless presentation – Staff and visitors can cast straight from a laptop or device to the big screen, with the option to connect without joining the school’s network at all, handy for guest speakers and visiting performers.
  • Expandable – Stage-side and backstage connection points make it easy to plug in extra microphones or a mixing desk for bigger events.
